1. Arab Center for Nutrition Excellence Award

The society won the Arab Center for Nutrition Excellence Award as the best non-governmental organization concerned with nutrition activities in the Arab world.

Cooperation agreements:

1. A cooperation agreement between the Saudi Food and Nutrition Society and the Arab Center for Nutrition – Kingdom of Bahrain.
2. Concluding an agreement with the Nutrition Department – Ministry of Health to implement training courses for Ministry of Health employees.
3. Memorandum of understanding between the Health Services Council and the Saudi Food and Nutrition Society.
4. A cooperation protocol and memorandum of understanding between the Production World Foundation and the Saudi Food and Nutrition Society, according to which the scientific society supervised the Saudi Award for Excellence in the Water Sector.

Issuing regulatory and encouraging regulations:

1. Saudi Food and Nutrition Society Award for Scientific Excellence and Community Service in the Field of Food Science and Nutrition.
2. Regulations of the Saudi Food and Nutrition Society to contribute to supporting research projects (research and scientific books written and translated).
3. Regulations of the Saudi Food and Nutrition Society to contribute to supporting scientific trips.
4. Saudi Food and Nutrition Society Award for the best research published in the scientific journal of the Saudi Food and Nutrition Society.
5. Saudi Food and Nutrition Society Award for the best awareness brochure published in the Saudi Food and Nutrition Society publications.

The society’s support for scientific trips and scientific research:

1. -The society supported scientific trips for students of the Food Sciences and Nutrition Department at the College of Food Sciences to participate in internal and external conferences.
2. -The Society supported a number of researches (partial support) and they were published in the Journal of the Saudi Food and Nutrition Society.

Implementing projects and participating in projects:

1. A project to study the possibility of extending the shelf life of pasteurized milk in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the benefit of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. The project was implemented during the first half of the year 1435 AH.
2. Participation by Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Omari represents the society in the committee formed to study and develop the nutrition of inmates in prisons. The committee is linked to the Director General of Prisons.

Articles and interviews broadcast on radio and television:

1. An article prepared by His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society published in Al-Riyadh Al-Iqtisadi newspaper entitled The decision to ban advertising for energy drinks will spare young people serious health problems.
2. A television interview on MBC channel about interest in drinking water.
3. Radio interview with His Excellency Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Omari – Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors – The Society’s objectives and activities to serve the community – conducted by Riyadh Radio.
4. An article published in Al-Riyadh newspaper, issue No. 16695, Monday 5/9/1435 AH (3/10/2014 AD) about the decision to ban advertisements for energy drinks.
5. -The society published an explanatory statement about what is rumored about milk, and it was published in Al-Riyadh newspaper.

Publication of the scientific journal of the society:

1. The Society publishes the Society’s magazine, which is semi-annual, and twelve volumes have been published.
